About
In 2005 the Palais Royale underwent a massive renovation. Everything from the roof to the basement was repaired, rebuilt and redesigned. The electrical and plumbing were replaced and essentially the grand beauty of the 1920’s was brought into the 21st century. Today it stands as one of THE places to get married in Toronto. With a 4000 square foot two-tiered outdoor deck overlooking Lake Ontario and an 8000 square foot ballroom restored in the architectural style of the 1920’s, guests will truly feel like royalty.
Products & Services
No detail is overlooked at the venue. Once you book you will be assigned a wedding planner that will help customize your menu and offer vendor referrals. (There is an onsite caterer well versed in five-star cuisine.) The large ballroom which can hold 350 guests for a seated dinner has direct access to the outside deck. With a Baby Grand piano, two full-service bars, a gas fireplace with a large hearth and original barrel vaulted 30’ceiling, there is no doubt you and your guests will want to celebrate. The Palais also gets back to its dance hall roots with a ballroom competition size 1700 square foot circular maple hardwood dance floor. Count Bassie and Duke Ellington, frequent performers at the former dance hall in the 1940’s, would be proud.
The patio, which can hold 100 for a sit down meal, is flanked on either side by luscious gardens. Many couples choose to have the wedding ceremony outside, the beauty of Lake Ontario steps away. A view that is even more stunning at night creating a romantic setting for the cocktail reception. There is also only one wedding per day in the entire building giving couples exclusive use of the grounds. Included in the reservation is a Bridal Suite with a private washroom, a large plasma television and a safe for valuables. The bridal party can relax a bit before the ceremony in this chic lounge-type atmosphere.
