TELL US YOUR STORY: “Steve and I met when he first moved to Kitchener. We had been talking online for 2 years before we met. However, neither of us was ready for a relationship at that point in time. Two years passed and Steve Facebook messaged me to go for coffee and catch up. On that coffee outing, something in us sparked. May 22nd was the date. After we had coffee, he came back to my place and met a few of my family members. After he left, I texted him asking him if we were a couple. He said yes and it’s been 14 years. We were meant to be.” – J
BEST MEMORY: “The vows. Anyone who knows my husband knows he doesn’t cry. While he was reading his vows to me, he started crying and it made everyone cry too.”- J
ADVICE: “My advice would be to give and take. What worked well for us is we were on the same page about everything we knew we wanted, like the choice of the venue and foregoing a DJ. The details we did not agree on at first were talked out and decided by consensus.” – J
