All you need is love... and

We’ve done the research and talked to the experts. We’ve watched the fashion runways, the celebrity weddings, and a million other little details that help us forecast what’s going to be in for 2024 wedding trends and beyond. After sorting through dozens of potential trends, we’ve curated this list of our favourite 11 wedding trends – we couldn’t settle on 10! – and we’ll talk about how to incorporate these trends into your wedding day.

1.    Champagne Towers are a vintage favourite making a fresh appearance. You can easily add a touch of glamour with a tower of poured champagne. Champagne towers can be the centrepiece of a posh cocktail hour or paired with another décor element like the seating chart. The act of pouring champagne into your tower can not only be a fun photo op for the couple as well as a way to kick off your cocktail hour. Or save the tower for right before the introduction and toast to the happy couple! Choose a champagne flute or coupe depending on your style and taste!

2.    Fast Food is always a fan favourite but did you know that you can also add it to your wedding? Pizza as part of the late night has been a staple but did you know you can bring in other options? Have a late night burger and fries bar provided by either your venue or your local burger joint. Tacos, subs, wraps, chicken wings, popcorn, and ice cream are also fast food options that are sure to delight your guests.

3.    Lambeth Cakes are the cakes decorated in the old English tradition of “over-piping”, adding row after row if intricate detail including garlands, scrolls, lattice, flowers, and vines over top of each other. These over decorated cakes give the impression of depth and layering. Lambeth cakes say goodbye to simplicity of fondant and welcome back to the sweet decadence of butter cream.

4.    Frequently seen on the runways in coats, clothes, and even hair, fringe has dipped in an out of fashion for years. Thanks the popularity of the bohemian look, fringe is making it’s way into weddings. Easily incorporate fringe in your wedding décor by adding it to your ceiling canopy, photo booth backdrop, specialty table bunting and more. You can go wild with colour or stick to a neutral and natural boho palette.

5.   You can expect to see Mixed Prints at a 2024 wedding trends and we are here for it! Mix your prints in your table décor with different patterns of linens, add a patterned charger, or place setting. Keep your colours complimentary but let your imagination run wild with your prints.

6.      Wicker is another child of the boho trend. Wicker adds a neutral and natural touch to any and all décor. There are so many ways to incorporate wicker that we’ll never be able to list them all. A few of our favourites include: fans, chairs, baskets, seating charts, and more. There is no limit to how you can include this earthy element to your wedding.

7.   Another hot wedding trends for 2024 are to bring Forest elements into your design. From trees to branches, greenery to wood, a touch of the forest brings a bit of magic to your wedding day. Instead of bringing the forest to your wedding, take your wedding to the forest by hosting your ceremony on the forests edge.

8.   Say hello to Tiny Bouquets! With the continued popularity of smaller guest list and budgets, more and more brides are choosing smaller scale floral arrangements. While there will always be a place in our hearts from large, wild bouquets, we’re loving the more artistic, constructed look of the tiny bouquet. Though small in size, these bouquets can still have a big impact.

9.      Themed Bars are a fun way to bring your personality and taste to your big day. If you’re a martini aficionado, have a martini bar. Margarita fans may decide to offer a selection of their favourite flavours. Or maybe you just want to incorporate chocolate into the themed bar at your wedding. A themed bar can be as unique as the newlyweds themselves.

10.  After years of a neutral palette, Colour, actual colour! is back in weddings. From colour on wedding gowns, to bold colour tuxedos and suits, from décor to invitations, this trend is a feast for the eyes. Pair this colour trend with the mixed patterns for a feast for the eyes!!

11.  Audio Guestbooks came on the wedding scene in early 2021. Since then, they’ve become the hottest trend in wedding guestbooks. An Audio Guestbook serves double duty at your wedding. Offered in an array of telephone styles, it can be a uniquely vintage décor element or fun retro throw back. Most importantly, an audio guestbook capture memories with a personal touch. Throughout the reception, guests can leave a personal, heartfelt and/or humorous message for the wedding couple. Recordings provide an authentic and unfiltered glimpse into your special day.
