Black dresses have become increasingly popular among Gen Z brides in particular. They are rewriting the rules when it comes to wedding fashion. These black gowns still feel distinctly bridal. Many of the black lace designs have the option to add a nude or white underlay or stay true to a bridal silhouette.
Normally used as an accessory, the bow has become an integral part of the structure of many gowns for 2024. A bow adds a timeless feminine touch to any look. The more voluminous bows can add to a more dramatic look.
Nothing screams “I’m a bride” like sequins and sparkles do. We are seeing a variety of dresses adorned in all things sparkly. Sequin appliques, glitter underlays, and beaded laces, one thing is certain: there will be no shortage of bridal glam in 2024.
We are still seeing dress slits for 2024: Side slits, front slits, high slits, low slits. Whether you're getting married on the beach or going for that Hollywood glam, a gown with a slit can set the mood. Slits are both sexy and sophisticated, and they can be customized to fit any bride’s style and silhouette.
We are seeing floral elements in bigger and bolder ways. Larger lace applique pieces at the hem or an all-over oversized sequin floral pattern. It is a modern take on the classics for brides looking to push the boundaries more whimsically.
While some 2023 and 2024 brides choose extravagant wedding dresses, others find beauty in simple, sleek silhouettes with clean lines and minimal embellishments. This look is all about the fabric and the shape of the gown. It's popular for the modern minimalist bride who loves a less is more look.
Brides-to-be are looking for the perfect dresses that showcase their unique personality and style, and designers are coming up with creative solutions to meet their demands. From ethereal, flowy fabrics to structured, statement-making silhouettes and bold colours, wedding dress trends are thriving with new ideas and designs.
