TELL US YOUR STORY: “We are a pandemic success story. Our first date was January 2020, and we’d been dating just long enough that come the first lockdown we decided to be in each other’s bubble. While stressful at times, the lockdowns meant that instead of talking about the events we were participating in or shows we were seeing, we had many conversations with each other on the couch. We talked a lot about the more serious matters a relationship entails. It was like pressing the fast forward button on our relationship. By 2021, we were absolutely sure about each other, and we’ve never looked back.” – P
LOCATION: Casa Loma “As proud Torontonians with a guest list heavy on out-of-towners, we wanted to select a venue which would showcase the city. Obviously, Casa Loma does that in spades and fit our love story wedding inspiration. The appeal of an all in one venue, as opposed to having folks trek across town, was also an important factor.” – K&P
PAPER FLORALS: Prose Petals “Danielle did an excellent job working with us to produce cherished keepsakes from the day. We would absolutely recommend her for a floral alternative.” – P&K
PHOTOGRAPHY: DA Photography “It was a combination of online research and attending wedding shows. We had already scoured the internet when we met Dragi at a show. His work had the vivid colours and sense of contrast we were looking for. He also was incredibly quick on delivery, and generous with the number of edited photos provided. He was the perfect choice to capture our love story wedding” – P
COLOUR PALETTE/THEME: “There wasn’t a hard, overarching theme. We were both drawn to aspects of stark white and black contrast, made vibrant with a dash of red roses, all while simultaneously allowing the beautiful venue which is Casa Loma to breathe, rather than covering it over with flowers.” – P
