A warm winter wedding was what Karen and Klaus had been dreaming of for their big day. Using burgundy as their main colour they were able to create an intimate, rustic and romantic wedding day.

COLOUR PALETTE: "We decided on burgundy for our colour scheme for our winter wedding and called Matilyn (recommended by the Briars) to initially rent burgundy tablecloths and napkins. I had a great conversation with one of the owners, Catherine, and found out that they could do so much more for us to help make our wedding the memorable event we wanted it to be. Besides being able to get us our tablecloths and napkins, Catherine and her husband are event designers and planners. So we decided to hire Matilyn and it was the best thing we ever did. Knowing we were looking for intimate, rustic, and romantic, they set about making this happen. They created a custom design with our initials that we used on the dinner menus, the place cards, our thank-you cards, and a very large wall piece that we later had framed for our house. Catherine recommended renting more rustic chairs than what the Briars was offering and we went with her recommendation. It surely made a big difference in the ceremony room as well as the dining room. They took care of all the details on the day of our winter wedding and Klaus and I were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing that everything was well taken care of. It was the wedding of our dreams. We enjoyed every last minute of it. Our guests all spent the night at the Briars so we were able to party until the end and no one had to worry about driving home. I highly recommend Matilyn if you want a memorable and worry-free day, they can do it all!" - K
