“Nick and Sabrina celebrated their late-August wedding on a flower farm, sharing their day with their son and surrounded by the people they love most. They stayed at the Kat Florence Hotel in Elora and arrived at the venue that morning in the hotel’s Rolls Royce – an elegant start to a day filled with beauty. Both got ready onside at The Fieldstone Barn, a 170-year old historic barn at the edge of town.
While the groom and his friends played a few relaxed rounds of pool before suiting up, the bride and her bridal party prepared in the spacious suite, complete with five ready stations for hair and makeup. Sabrina wore a soft, natural look complemented by delicate wildflowers in her hair. When she stepped into her gown – perfectly suited to the surrounding flower fields and forest ceremony space – she look effortlessly stunning.
Their first look took place in the bright bridal suite, followed by a few quiet moments together with their son.
The ceremony was held in the forest, where live-edge benches, glowing lanterns, and candles set on rustic logs lined the aisle. Soft string lights hung between the trees, Nick waited at the forest entrance as Sabrina emerged from the barn and walked toward him. Hand in hand, they made their way down the aisle to the sound of harp music drifting through the trees.
After saying “I do,” the celebration moved to the hillside for a ceremonial toast and cocktail hour. Guests wandered through the flower gardens and visited the alpacas, while the stone barn and sunflower fields created a scenic backdrop.
As the sun set, the newlyweds slipped away for photos in the warm golden light that poured across the rolling farm fields. The reception took place inside the restored stone barn, with its 32-foot vaulted ceilings and original hand-hewn beams. Guests gathered at long harvest tables while the couple and their son sat at a live-edge sweetheart table. Following their romantic first dance, dinner was served family style. Highlighted by a chef’s surprise: two 65-day aged tomahawks and bone marrow presented to the couple in celebration.
Nick and Sabrina’s wedding unfolded like a fairytale – filled with love, beauty, and unforgettable moments.” – Melinda and Tim Croft, Venue Owners, The Fieldstone Barn
