COUPLE: Valeria & Jorge
DATE: August 1, 2025
GUEST #: 44
CEREMONY LOCATION: Holy Rosary Catholic Church
RECEPTION LOCATION: Blue Mountain Resort "We picked The Blue Mountain Resort as our wedding venue because we got engaged there during the previous Christmas, our favourite season. It made perfect sense for us to celebrate our wedding where our marriage journey started, and in an amazing place we can always keep going back to." - V&J
PHOTOGRAPHER: Complete Wedding + Events "We connected with Complete Wedding + Events at the Wedding Ring Expo in Uxbridge and loved the ability to hire one team for Photography, Coordination, Videography, DJ, and Photo Booth. It made planning so much more enjoyable!" - V
COLOUR PALETTE: We selected a minimalist old-money inspired theme, and we made it come to live by choosing antique brass frames for our table numbers, seating chart, etc. We used a 'farm-style' long table, with candles, etc. We came across that style because we have always loved a classic style with a vintage touch, alongside a contemporary feeling, in the same way as our lifestyle. That's literally how I would define ourselves, plus an outdoorsy vibe." - V&J
TELL US YOUR STORY: "From the very first time we met in middle school, we shared something special. Even as kids, before we fully understood the meaning of connection, we recognized something familiar an comforting in each other. It was the kind of bond that didn't need to be explained - it simply existed, quietly but undeniably, and it followed us as we grew up.
As the years went by, life took us on different paths. We had seasons where we were close and season where distance made things harder, but the bond we shared never faded. No matter how much time passed, we always found our way back to each other with the same ease and warmth. Our first official date years later felt like the moment everything same full circle. We went to a concert where we danced, sang, and let ourselves be completely free. There were no pretences, no pressure - just two hearts enjoying every beat of the music and comfort of being togther. It felt natural, like something that had been waiting patiently for its moment.
Even though we lived in different cities, our hearts stayed close. We created our own little world through spontaneous road trips, late-night conversations, and windows-down car rides where we belted out our favourite songs. We savoured the small moments too - the sound of birds singing in the morning, sharing a quiet cup of coffee, guitar sing-along nights, and those simple, ordinary minutes that somehow because some of our most meaningful memories. With each other, nothing ever felt too small to matter.
Then, during our favourite time of the year - Christmas - we made all of our dreams some true. With twinkling lights around us and everything feeling warm and magical, we said yes to spending forever together. Officially off the market, and officially ready for the next chapter.
Our story is one of laughter, adventure, and cherishing even the simplest moments. We are so excited to continue this beautiful journey, and we cannot wait to share this next chapter with all of you." - V&J

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: "The logistics of our guest, as 90% of our guests where coming from out of the country. So, making sure they were up and ready in the morning for our Church ceremony in Toronto, and then on the private bus to The Blue Mountain, check-in, and the up to the top of the mountain at the Off Piste. For example, the bus company called us (we were driving separately), and told us that the bus broke down just our of the GTA, but there was a replacement bus already on the way!" - V&J
BEST MEMORY: "The best memory for both os us was our 'road trip'. After getting married at church, all of our guests said goodbye to us as we were driving away, with the classic 'Just Married' sign on the back of the car, and the tied cans. We took the country-side route, which was amazing. That gave us a wonderful just-married-couple alone time, singing, laughing, and just being happy and finally realizing one of our biggest dreams come true before arriving to the venue." - V&J
ADVICE FROM ONE BRIDE TO ANOTHER: "Don't overthink hiring, at least, a day-of coordinator, you will definitely need it, and will make your life easier, and let you enjoy your special day. Another overarching one, remember that you are getting married because you love each other, and nothing else, that's the whole point. It is your wedding day, not someone else's." - V&J
