TELL US YOUR STORY: “The first time I set eyes on Cody he was on a date with a friend of mine. My friend knew Cody was not right for him but knew I could be that guy. After texting for a few days we went on our first date, which lasted for 16 hours. My friend was right. We were meant to be together.

Within a week we were boyfriends and not long after that, we were in love. We got our first place together, we got our dog Gus and we got engaged! After five years of ups and downs, while learning and discovering, our love grew stronger. We got married on our five-year anniversary. Our puzzle is almost complete and we now embrace on the journey of building our family.” – J

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “Finding a cost-effective caterer. Every place we requested a quote from were all very expensive, all outside of our budget. We did countless Google searches and received suggestions from family and friends. One of them recommended Conestoga Food Services. They delivered a tasting to our door during a lockdown and we enjoyed every mouthful. They were reasonably priced and got our business” – J

BEST MEMORY: “So many memories but the one that stands out most is our first look. Seeing my husband-to-be for the first time that day took my breath away. That memory lives in my brain rent-free.” – J

ADVICE: “Try to be flexible and roll with the punches. You have many ideas of things you want that will change many times. Be prepared for many opinions, everyone becomes an expert wedding planner. Lol.” – J
