CEREMONY & RECEPTION LOCATION: CJ Country Events “CJ Country Events was the first and last wedding venue we toured. We instantly fell in love with the property and were blown away by the offerings. The space at CJ Country Events includes bridal party cabins, multiple options for ceremony spaces, a huge variety of décor, a horse drawn carriage and so much more! The property was absolutely beautiful and we knew this was where we wanted to get married and host our elegant country wedding.
The CJ Country team (Lyssa, Steve and all the staff) were beyond incredible throughout the wedding planning process. We had visited the venue on many occasions leading up to the wedding day and felt extremely supported throughout our engagement. Lyssa also acted as our day of coordinator which was invaluable the day of our wedding to assist with keeping everyone on track. The CJ team took care of everything and made our wedding process and day a very stress free event.” – N&L

Levi and I attended two additional weddings that Kyle photographed which was a great way to develop our relationship prior to our own wedding. COLOUR PALETTE: “My husband and I really embraced the natural beauty of our wedding venue which could be classified as elegant country. CJ Country Events venue offered many décor items – whiskey barrels, greenery, lanterns, farm tables, twinkle lights and marquee letters. We went with a colour palette of sage green and white to really complement the venue space.” – N
TELL US YOUR STORY!: “Levi and I met on the dance floor at a bar eight years ago. We had discovered neither of us was planning on going out that evening but we are so thankful we did! The following day we went for our official first date at a local park and spent hours walking around chatting. Two months after, we were officially dating and we have been together ever since!
In 2022, we vacationed in Costa Rica. I was certainly hopeful for an engagement however we were nearing the end of the vacation and it had yet to happen. On the second last night, Levi surprised me at the beach with a sunset proposal. Once we returned we were so excited to share our news of our engagement with family and friends and to begin the wedding planning process.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “The biggest challenge during the wedding planning process was deciding where to start! It felt very over-whelming after the engagement with all the decisions ahead of us however once we got the date and venue solidified, everything else started to fall into place.” – N&L
FAVOURITE MEMORY: “Some of the best memories from our wedding included, the first look between my husband and I while we did our private vows. Arriving to the ceremony in a horse drawn carriage and walking down the aisle with my dad in the rain. When the officiant announced us as husband and wife, and the feeling of walking back down the aisle together. A surprise special dance between me and my mom to ABBA – Dancing Queen. We ended our evening with a final song “Mr. Brightside” where all our guests were signing at the top of their lungs. These are some of the very special memories I will cherish forever from our big day.” – N
ADVICE FROM ONE COUPLE TO ANOTHER: “As a recent married couple, here are a few words of advice from our wedding day. Spend as much time as possible together on the wedding day. It’s easy to get pulled in different directions but it’s your special day and you should be enjoying it together!
The day flies by but remember to take a step back to truly take in special moments. I know this isn’t for everyone but doing a first look and using a sweetheart table are a couple of the best decisions we made! Doing a first look allowed us to spend the entire day together and also enjoy cocktail hour with our guests. The sweetheart table allowed us to have some brief uninterrupted time together” – N
