Soft neutrals were the perfect colour palette for Rebecca and Eric’s wedding at Vieni Estates. Cindy from Now & Always Special Event Decor went above and beyond to achieve the monotone look with punches of light pink.
DATE: July 8, 2022
LOCATION: Vieni Estates (vieni.ca) “Honestly because 2022 was so crazy for weddings, I was looking for a venue that had dates available that year. As I looked, it seemed like there was going to be nothing I loved available, everything seemed to be booked. I was looking for barn-style venues and there were a couple of contestants but Vieni seemed to take the cake. It had beautiful chandeliers in the barn which added a little bit of coziness and class to it rather than just a cold old barn and it also had a beautiful outdoor space for the ceremony which I loved. The fact that I was able to do part of our wedding outside and the reception inside was a huge part of why we chose the venue too. In addition, Vieni wasn’t in the middle of nowhere for the guests. It was easily accessible and relatively close by for family and friends to either stay the night somewhere or make the drive home. Vieni was easy to work with and they had their set dates to check in with us to make sure everything was getting done that needed to be done. They gave you a timeline which helped keep things in order and made the planning smoother.” – R&E
PHOTOGRAPHY: Alexis Burton Photography (alexisburtonphotographer.com) & Rose Quartz Imagery (rosequartzimagery.com) “My friend had gotten married the year before us and I loved how his photos turned out. I asked him and he connected me with her. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks before the wedding she had an incident that made her unable to photograph our wedding so she connected us with Tiffany who was a complete blessing sent by God. She was so sweet and amazing at what she did. I am so happy with how the photos turned out and it was a joy having her there to shoot our wedding!” – R

NOTABLE VENDOR: “Our decorator. Working with Cindy was the best decision we made in the whole planning process! She managed to somehow put together everything I hoped for, that I couldn’t articulate. She and her team are EXTREMELY talented at what they do, and it was such a blessing having them be such a big part of making our dream wedding a reality. Cindy made it so easy to remain calm, as she talked me through everything and answered all my questions leading up to the big day. She truly is a gifted, wonderful, and kind human being. She was such a blessing. I can’t thank her enough.” – R
TELL US YOUR STORY: “I went from sitting behind the “annoying kid” in class to saying yes to a date with him to Chick-Fil-A 5 hrs away when I didn’t even like fast food. Fast forward three years later and I’m standing in front of him shaking as he proposes to me on a 20 km hike at Algonquin Park. That was only 2 km… for the next 18km I was staring at my ring in awe of how perfect it was and just kept repeating with the biggest smile on my face, “Can you believe we’re engaged!?” – R
BIGGEST CHALLENGE: “2022 was a big year for weddings. It seemed like everyone was getting married that year because it was the year after covid had died down. I remember it being a challenge to find a venue that we both loved and actually had dates available in 2022. One other thing was the weather. It did rain and we were unsure if we would be able to have our ceremony outside. But the sky cleared just in time and we were able to move forward with the original plan. On the day of our wedding, there was a Rogers Outage nationwide for the whole day! It actually caused a couple of guests to be unable to attend and I think it even messed up some things for our DJ. But even with that going on it didn’t feel like that big of a deal to me because we were still able to enjoy music all night long.” – R
BEST MEMORY: “My best memory was honestly the whole day. It’s been four months now, and I’m still asking Eric if he wants to do it all over again. I have zero complaints about that day. We absolutely loved everything; the fact that we were surrounded by all of our family and friends and that after almost three years of dating, I was finally marrying the man I love. The décor was beautiful down to every little detail. The flowers were absolutely stunning and I’m still using them for the centerpiece on my dining room table. The favours were unique. My dress made me feel beautiful. My hair and makeup were perfectly simple. The groom’s and groomsman’s attire was classic. The bridal party looked amazing. I’m telling you, zero complaints.” – R
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES: “I think this probably gets said a lot but it really is true… Don’t stress too much over the planning. Enjoy every little moment leading up to it and take in every second you can on the day. Everything will turn out and the day will go by fast so enjoy it! In the end, the little things don’t matter, you’re getting married to the person you love!” – R&E
